The High Standard Model B is a .22 LR caliber pistol, developed as an enhanced version of the Hartford Arms 1925 Automatic. It features a small frame and comes with either a 4 1/2-inch or 6 3/4-inch lightweight barrel, both having a 0.63-inch diameter at the frame, and equipped with fixed Patridge-type sights for precise targeting. Early models had checkered hard rubber grips, while later versions showcased grips with the High Standard monogram. The firearm includes a 10-shot magazine and began production with serial number 5,000, initially manufacturing approximately 65,000 units using components from Hartford Arms. Post-war models adopted the B-US contour frame. The Model B was produced between 1932 and 1942, and again in 1946, with most found within serial numbers 5,000 to 95,894 and 148,198 to 151,021. Known for its reliability and historical significance, the Model B features classic design elements and robust functionality.
