$0.00

The Colt Single Action Army, commonly referred to as the “Cavalry” model, served as the primary sidearm for U.S. military forces between 1873 and 1892. Although primarily associated with mounted units, this revolver was also used by non-commissioned officers in the regular army and state militias. The U.S. government acquired a total of 37,063 units at an average cost of $12.50 each. These revolvers were built to military specifications, featuring a 7 ½ inch barrel, .45 Colt chambering, and a government blue and color case-hardened finish, which was more subdued than the civilian model. They sported one-piece oil-finished walnut grips and were rigorously inspected, each bearing the initials of a U.S. ordnance principal sub-inspector and marked with “U.S.” on the frame. Delivered to the National Armory in Springfield, MA, this iconic firearm is celebrated for its power, reliability, and historical significance.
