$1,500.00

The Savage Arms Model 1895 is a revered lever-action rifle designed exclusively for the .303 Savage caliber and produced between 1895 and 1899 in three versions: carbine (22-inch barrel), rifle (26-inch barrel), and musket (30-inch barrel). Featuring a distinctive open top and solid breech design with side ejection, the Model 1895 is notable for its 6-shot rotary magazine and, in some cases, an unfired shots indicator. Manufactured by Marlin and marked with “Savage Repeating Arms Co. Utica, N.Y. U.S.A. Pat. Feb. 7, 1893,” around 6,000 units were made, including both round and octagon barrel options. Early models had a bolt with a top hole, which was later removed in subsequent versions. The Model 1895 is highly valued among collectors and exemplifies the engineering prowess of its time.
